Laura Neuman is the 8th County Executive for Anne Arundel County. During her tenure, the county experienced an improved credit outlook, $10 million in savings through better bond rates, efficiency and improved service, and lower crime rates.
Before assuming the position of County Executive, Ms. Neuman served as CEO for the Economic Development Authority in Howard, where she advocated for businesses and encouraged them to start, locate or relocate to the county or state. In that position, Ms. Neuman successfully attracted numerous high-profile businesses to locate or expand in Maryland.
Ms. Neuman has a proven track record in all aspects of identifying, building and running companies. This experience includes working from the initial phase to product development through market deployment; combining an entrepreneurial focus with a wide range of experience in corporate development, strategic planning and operations.
Ms. Neuman has held positions with multiple companies, including T. Rowe Price, Digex, Global Payment Systems (previously National Data Corporation) and CAIS Internet. Her most notable achievement in business was to build a technology startup called Matrics which raised $17 million in venture capital and was eventually sold for $230 million.
Without a high school diploma or college degree, Ms. Neuman received a MBA from Loyola University. She also completed the Executive Program at Stanford Business School.
Among her awards and recognitions are Most Influential Marylander; Top 100 Women in Maryland; Trailblazer by the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Spirited Women of Baltimore, in Balance. Ms. Neuman was the first recipient of the Mary Pickersgill Award for Women’s Leadership in Business.
Ms. Neuman has served on numerous boards including the UMD Shock Trauma Board of Visitors, Maryland Science Center, Chesapeake Innovation Center, Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship, MCASA and the NAF School in Baltimore.
Since co-founding Orases ten years ago, Nick has established a proven track record of developing dynamic, logical and easy-to-use web-based solutions. His interactive business strategies provide tangible value to our clients, while delivering excellent end user experiences. As the Orases executive responsible for IT development, Nick is involved with all the orases clients to ensure that our customized Web Business & Marketing Building Programs are well designed and successfully executed. Nick is also our liaison to the community participating in several volunteer activities and community programs including the Chamber of Commerce, The Greek Food and Dance Festival, Chamber of Commerce Marketing Round Table, The Greater Frederick Advertising Federation, The Maryland Tech Council, and the Maryland Education Committee.
Aleta began her business, Four Seasons Media, in December 2014 with a camera and a passion for the ever changing landscape of video production and social media platforms.
In 2015 she completed a highly successful project for the Unity Campaign of Frederick where she provided all social media and video production for FREE! Her commitment to making a difference truly did just that! The goal of the campaign was to raise $250,000 for 20 different nonprofits in the Frederick County community. Ultimately, the campaign raised in excess of $380,000. Her goal was to show nonprofits how social media and video production has been an enormous impact on business outcomes today. The groundbreaking project is an example of what's possible when a community comes together with their time and talents to contribute to the lives of others. Aleta is very proud of what has been accomplished through her efforts.
Aleta's mission is to help businesses adapt to the dynamic digital media industry through the power of social media management, corporate photos, and promotional videos. Aleta has joined with Charlton Creative Communications to bring her social media expertise and audio/video talents to the consulting group.
In addition, she is a certified wedding photographer from the New York Institute of Photography. Aleta is a recent college graduate (May 2014) with a degree in Communications from Crown College, Saint Bonifacius, Minnesota. She is married and lives with her husband in Frederick, MD.
As President and Broker of MacRo, Ltd., Rocky Mackintosh is responsible for oversight of the company and ensuring that MacRo provides the highest quality brokerage services to clients. He focuses on land development consulting and representing owners in the sale and leasing of their commercial properties.
Rocky has been active in the real estate market since 1972. In 1980, he founded Mackintosh, Inc. Realtors®, a multi-office general brokerage firm now owned and operated by his brothers. In 1990, he established MacRo, Ltd., the Frederick, Maryland-based land and commercial real estate development, real estate brokerage, leasing, property management and real estate consulting services firm he heads today. He has earned numerous awards and recognition for his achievements over the years.
Rocky is invested in Frederick County and has served on the board of directors for several community organizations.
Born and raised in Washington, DC and Montgomery County, Maryland, Rocky and his wife, Nancy, have lived on their farm in southern Frederick County for over 35 years. They have two married daughters, five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ashleigh Kiggans has joined the MacRo family as a sales and leasing associate. Kiggans brings strong sales and management experience to her new role with the company.

Kiggans will play a key role within the organization, assisting the leadership team across a wide range of initiatives, including market research, data analysis, client communications and marketing while assisting with the sales and leasing transactional process. She will work closely with MacRo’s President, Rocky Mackintosh, on a wide range of key projects.

Prior to joining MacRo, Ashleigh served as a general manager for Carr Workplaces, an executive office suite company that specializes in flex workspace solutions and services. At Carr Workplaces, Ashleigh started as a receptionist at the Reston, Virginia location. Carr Workplaces quickly promoted her to general manager of the Bethesda, Maryland location, where she managed all client accounts. Ashleigh played a large role in helping the Bethesda office maintain 90%+ retention/occupancy from 2011 through the end of 2013. Due to her success and number of accomplishments in Bethesda, the organization asked her to manage the organizations largest spaces—115 offices (64,000 sf.)—in downtown Washington DC.

Kirby Delauter is the son of Russell and Marlene Delauter, was raised in Frederick County, graduated from Catoctin High School and is a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked in the family business since he was 12 years old and began working full time at the business in 1987. In 1993 he purchased the family business, W.F. Delauter and Son, Inc. started by Kirby's grandfather, Willie F. Delauter, and his father Russell Delauter back in 1955. The business continues to operate today doing projects in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
Kirby has served as a County Commissioner from 2010-2014, on the Thurmont Police Commission and as Chairman of the Thurmont Board of Appeals. He is the current County Council member from District 5. Kirby has four adult children and resides in Thurmont, Maryland, with his wife Tina.
